Videogame developer based in the North-West of England. Founded by Martyn Chudley in 1995, Bizarre Creations evolved from a games company called Raising Hell Software in the late ‘80s.
After garnering accolades for titles for Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST and Sega Megadrive (Genesis) the Bizarre Creations of today was born when Sony‘s PlayStation rolled around. The team‘s original concept project called was called ‘Slaughter‘, and earned the team a job to develop Formula 1 for Psygnosis. The team went on to became a major force with its racing games on Dreamcast and Xbox systems, as well as multiplatform and console-exclusive titles for a variety of systems. One of its best-known titles is the shooter series Geometry Wars, which began as a hidden game inside the Project Gotham titles and went on to become an arcade-style phenomenon.
In September of 2007, Bizarre Creations was acquired by publisher Activision. The company continues to operate and create titles under its original name, producing a variety of titles for Activision.
